Horsin Around

Hey girls, sorry I missed lunch and birthday celebrations but as you can see I was out and about Horsin' Around this weekend. It was nice to get away for a couple of days. I liked hanging out with my aunt, going shopping, going to get ice cream, going to the -only bar in town-haha-for a burger! It's very beautiful there, not to mention all the time I got spend hanging out with the horses. There were 9 of them-2 Thouroughbred and the rest Quarter Horses I believe. All very nice and wish I could have brought them home with me, okay well not all of them, haha. I guess I will just have to get away more often to see them more and get Little Miss Kyra riding! Up North is so nice and peaceful, I wish we could all have a second home there. Wouldn' t that be fun???? Maybe we could open up another bar, give the people some variety! hahaha
Alrighty, gotta go now-Keep on Bloggin Bloggers!!!!

Mystery Lunch Sunday July 29th

Happy Birthday Leo's!

Are the brown paper bags decorated and filled with goodies yet? I hope not! No green, fuzzy sandwiches for me. Let me say that I at least have my bag and will be decorating this weekend. I have part of my menu planned.

Let's meet at Bunny's at be ready to leave by 12:30, for Elizabeth Park. We'll try to get a table by the water side. Oh...Bugsy, will you make the sweet tea since you impressed your buddy Al so much you must be the best. Phew, got out of that one. I have a med size cooler that I can bring, too. We will number the bags then draw a number. We can't get our own. If we want to trade something~hells bells-go for it...to the highest bidder!

I miss you guys and am really looking forward to spending this time with you. Oh-please, no material gifts to any birthday people.....your company is our gift.

Luck of the Irish

Okay, Ya's Ya's.....it's Murder Mystery Dinner Party Time! I will share more details as they develop but the theme has been decided. Here is the Overview: The King of the Leprechauns has had his pot of gold stolen. Who was the devious thief? Was it one of the little people or one of the local Irish lads or lasses? Or was it Laoghaire - the High King? Saint Patrick himself is here to investigate. There are 10 characters. 5 men 5 women. There are a couple of Leprechauns, King, Queen, and others. I think this will be hilarious to see us dress up with this green Irish theme. My first target date was this fall but......maybe we should do it closer to St Patty's day, break up the winter like we usually do. I would like to extend the invite to: Mom, Elaine, Bunny, Katie, Jessica, Kathy, Frannie, Carol, Tina...and Sharon or my friend Mary. I'll need some subs just incase someone can't make it. Are you Ya's Ya's game???

Another Angel for Kathy

Carol told me last night that someone from here work donated one month's board for Kathy's horse. This lady, who insists on remaining anonymous, heard Carol talking about Kathy's situation. She offered to pay the board if she could remain anonymous. How selfless is she? Carol hasn't told Kathy yet but I will update you with her reaction. This is more proof that out of every bad situation good arises......it always does, you just have to open your eyes and see it.

Thank you Ms. Anonymous Angel! Another one for Kathy's cause.

Life is Good

Well Hello There Chickadees, sorry it has taken so long for me to climb aboard, but if you notice the picture to your left, by the time I get home from work and those two are done with me I can barely keep my eyes open let alone get on the computer! haha
Let me just say I think this is a cool idea and I hope we stay on top of it better than I did with my own, maybe this will get me going again on mine!! It's fun to be able to just go somewhere and let it all out to other people like yourself.
Its been a good summer, LIFE IS GOOD, and its been a long time since I've said that and I believe I am going to make it my little saying at the end of my emails, since that seems to be the new thing to do! haha Just hanging out our new house with my beautiful family, love my new position at work and enjoying my new gas hog, I mean car. Just need to start bothering the Grandma's a little more so Mommy and Daddy can go out to a movie or something! haha But hence the picture above again I am usually too tired for such fun! hahaha
Alright, well I am signing off and going to bed. Just wanted to make sure I made it in here tonight! Take care:)

2007 Goals

At the end of last year I asked everyone to write down their goals for 2007, put them in an envelope, and Bunny was gonna hold them till our Girls Christmas gathering. I haven't thought much about them, but just this past week or so I was really thinking about this blogging site and our newsletter and it popped in my head about our goals. I asked Bunny and she found them in her room--just her and Tina's (mine were on my computer).

So...(Tina's favorite saying) knowing we didn't have every one's, we decided to open ours and read them...and it turns out Bunny had the majority of hers happen. Tina and I were just duds!! But it made me think about this some more.

AGAIN...SO....I want everyone to think about this and come November (which isn't that far away) I will be asking for them again...and I expect everyone to do this.

I think we should think about our Christmas Gathering (yes I said it and Tina will be so proud...CHRISTMAS) and exchanging gifts, handing in our sealed goals for 2008, and what/where we will have it this year. Jess--I know you are just dying for us to come to the house. hahaha

So I hope you all will begin to think about this and start making the plans to do better for next year.

Intro and Welcome

Hello Family and Friends--I have decided to try out a blogging site for a bit. 1. to learn 2. to think about setting up for other blogs to discuss issues that are floating through my mind.

I hope that you will all join me and add to this. It's a way for us to communicate and get more people in our loop.

What has made me think about this is that I want to start a project. It's just brewing right now, but I'd love to start a community, such as this blog, to gather insight and research for Woman who are or have battled cancer and love to ride (horses). I'd love to gather stories and maybe put a book together with Pictures and Stories of these woman and their horses. There is a lot to be done and will take some time, but I hope that I can get all of your help with this.

Our Newsletter could become an online issue someday, but until then...let's see what this becomes.

Post whatever you like. Make this a forum for us to chat and learn more about each other and people around us.

Until next posting: Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much
